The airport lists 1X/1N to the centre, New Railway Station and KTEL Makedonia, 79 to IKEA, 2X to Nea Elvetia and 3X to the Mikra metro interchange. Confirm same-day bus and metro service with OASTH/OSETH and the metro operator.

At a glance: A central stay usually pairs most simply with 1X/1N. An airport-side stay is justified when the flight or a nearby repeated destination dominates—not simply because it looks close on a regional map. Confirm live OASTH/OSETH service on the day.

Eastern metro corridor

Compare 2X to Nea Elvetia with 3X to Mikra for an eastern metro connection. Check the train destination, service status and final walk for your exact address.

1X / 1N

Railway or western logistics

The official line continues to the New Railway Station and KTEL Makedonia, but your exact stop-to-door walk remains separate.

Airport / eastern side

Use as a stay base only when flight timing or airport-side business is the main reason for the stay; verify the property’s exact transfer rather than relying on an ‘airport’ label.
